TOXINSIDE was founded in Stockholm in 2026 by Ivan, operated by Ravolution. This page is a short version of why it exists, who's behind it, and how to apply if you want to help build it.
Every ingredient label on every product in every store is a small wall of unfamiliar words. Sodium lauryl sulfate. Methylisothiazolinone. E150d. Most people read three, recognize none, and put the product in the basket anyway. I did this for years.
Meanwhile, regulators publish thousands of pages every year on which chemicals are safe at which doses for which populations. EFSA, FDA, WHO, IARC, ECHA, SCCS, OEHHA, Livsmedelsverket. The science is rigorous. It is public. It is also, for the average shopper standing in a store, completely inaccessible.
TOXINSIDE was built to close that gap. You scan a barcode. We match the ingredients against publicly available regulatory data and show what is known and from which source. A score appears. A few flagged ingredients. The recommended limits. The classifications. The dose at which a regulator says use with care. Plain language. Citation attached to every claim.
We do not invent hazards. We do not editorialize. We do not tell you what to do. We surface what is known, the science behind it, the source, and the choice is yours. This is a translator, not a verdict — a flashlight, not a judgment.
Make ingredient transparency frictionless. As easy to understand what you are consuming as it is to consume it. That is the whole thing.
TOXINSIDE was founded by Ivan, a Stockholm-based founder. He built TOXINSIDE because he wanted to know what was inside the things he was putting in his body, and he couldn't — not without a chemistry degree, an afternoon of searches, and patience he didn't have. The product is the answer he wished existed.
TOXINSIDE is built and operated by Ravolution, a Stockholm-based venture studio building tools for transparency, health, and informed consumer choice. Ravolution holds a portfolio of deep-tech ventures and operates on a build-for-equity model. For the broader Ravolution context, see ravolution.se.
The two-entity structure is intentional. TOXINSIDE has the editorial independence it needs to score products credibly. Ravolution provides the operational backbone — engineering, design, finance, legal — that allows a small editorial team to ship a credible product without the overhead of a fully standalone company. This is the model behind every Ravolution venture.
TOXINSIDE is small at launch and growing deliberately. We hire for editorial discipline, technical craft, and quiet conviction. We are not chasing headcount — we are looking for specific people who can do specific work to a standard the brand requires.
At this stage, we are particularly interested in talking to people with backgrounds in: food toxicology, pediatric nutrition, regulatory science, mobile engineering (iOS and Android), editorial writing for technical subjects, data engineering, and brand or product design. If you have peer-reviewed expertise or a track record in any of these areas, we want to hear from you — even if a specific role is not posted.
We are also open to part-time, advisory, and consulting engagements. Some of the most valuable contributors to TOXINSIDE will not be full-time hires — they will be domain experts who lend their judgment to specific decisions on the methodology, the editorial board, or the product.
